Moving from a huge monolithic core, to different micro-services, the technology stack of the new interface has also been migrated from PHP to ReactJS, Node.JS, Redux etc for serving the WEB and MWEB pages. This allowed the team to work with various cutting-edge UI concepts and technologies like Materialize-CSS, MVP, React, Dagger, Code splitting, server-side rendering etc, leading to better performance and user experience.
Listed are few changes that have been made in the platforms:
Reusable components:Consistent design throughout the website. Adding features are much faster now
Page Load Time: React with SSR helped us render the component in run time which improved overall page load metrics
Performance: Lazy loading using code splitting helped us reduce the amount of data transferred for each request. This in turn added to page load performance
Transition: Being a SPA (Single page application), It’s much faster to navigate from one page to another
